About TFOHFNDV...
Trinity Foundation of Hope for Natural Disaster Victims (TFOHFNDV)
was founded by Minister Lee and Dr. Lakisha Mearidy-Bell (2021 Marquis
Who's Who® Recipient) in November 2010 as a faith-based foundation
in Louisiana providing supplemental relief for long-term recovery for disaster
victims as a result of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Gustav. Officially
established in Louisiana in March 2013 as a faith-foundation built on the
mission of Christ, TFOHFNDV began
partnering with various local churches, non-profit organizations, and agencies by providing
funding for shelter, in-kind donations, crisis and disaster relief efforts to a multitude of
families who were victims of a natural or man-made disaster. In
addition, TFOHFNDV supported small community projects within the state
of Louisiana that promoted advocacy and outreach in recognizing the
impact and risk of homelessness among disaster victims. Minister Lee and
Dr. Lakisha Mearidy-Bell attended conferences and held seminars to
educate on the importance of providing immediate relief and recovery to natural disaster
victims to reduce the risk of mental apathy, family and community
divisions, and increased homelessness. As a result, Minister Lee and Dr.
Lakisha Mearidy-Bell has established linkages among business, academia,
community, and local government agencies to assist in health and human
services awareness on the impact of disasters.
Since the
COVID-19 pandemic, TFOHFNDV has established the foundation to provide
and support humanitarian work of all defined disasters. Their mission
also expanded to supporting health and well-being
of children and families, youth development, and educational enrichment
programs for displaced victims. Since its inception in 2010, TFOHFNDV has assisted faith-based organizations,
local and national agencies involved in helping many disaster
communities. For more information on the humanitarian work of TFOHFNDV,
